An imposing fortified dam built in 1393 at the behest of Gian Galeazzo Visconti, the Bridge
Visconteo stretches more than 600 meters over the Mincio River. Connected to the nearby Scaliger Castle,
this extraordinary example of medieval engineering offers a unique view of the village of
Borghetto and the surrounding green countryside.
Nestled in the charming village of Borghetto sul Mincio, the watermills tell the
story of a bygone era when they were used for grinding grain. Today,
perfectly restored, they house restaurants and romantic cafes, offering an
enchanting atmosphere among water, stone and history.
Majestic and imposing, the Scaliger Castle of Valeggio dominates the landscape with its crenellated
towers and the remains of the medieval fortress. Built in the 13th century, it offers a
spectacular view of the Mincio valley and surrounding hills, making it an
